I spent yesterday at the Lustre User Group meeting in Orlando and I couldn’t help but notice the change in the atmosphere. Last year’s meeting had a dark cloud of uncertainty hovering over it versus the sense of stability that has surrounded this year’s meeting. Who wouldn’t feel better with the significant events that have taken place since the last meeting? New companies have entered the Lustre marketplace, the community has made a commitment to release Lustre 2.1 through a collaborative effort, HPCFS and Open SFS have become active in helping to address standards, etc.
