New Service and Software offerings for NexStor® 4900F Storage Solution
Delivers Ease of Use and Advanced Functionality
Carlsbad, CA– March 7, 2005 -- nStor Corporation, a subsidiary of nStor Technologies, Inc. (AMEX: NSO) and an innovative developer of storage-network solutions, announced today the company has enhanced its service and software offerings through a newly introduced proactive monitoring system, StorView Alert ® . This new system actively monitors the NexStor line of storage systems to improve business continuity by reducing unexpected downtime. nStor currently provides technical support for customers and is broadening its range of services to include advanced warranty protection, backup & recovery healthcheck, customer training, system management and engineering services that support the company's entire line of storage products. This comprehensive selection of services, tools and programs is designed to give customers access to nStor's storage experts who help them uncover new revenue opportunities and ultimately ease storage management challenges.
nStor recently introduced the NexStor 4900 Fibre series with embedded StorView ® Storage Management software. Combining pre-loaded software that is server and operating system independent with wizard-based configuration and management, StorView eases the complexity of configuration and administration of storage systems. Andy Betterton, president and CEO of Open Storage Solutions stated “With embedded StorView, nStor has enhanced the performance of their Fibre system by removing in-band traffic.” He continued to state, “StorView raises the bar in providing a new level of ease of use in storage management.”
StorView Alert provides for a proactive monitoring system that unobtrusively scans the system to ensure that data is available and the system is in proper working condition avoiding business operation disruptions and improving business continuity.
