DigiNovations deploys Storage Solutions
For High Definition Graphics Production Facility
Las Vegas and Carlsbad, CA-NAB, 2005– April 19 , 2005 -- nStor Corporation, Inc., a subsidiary of nStor Technologies, Inc. (AMEX: NSO) and Sanbolic, Inc., today announced that DigiNovations Incorporated, a leader in digital video production services, has deployed the NexStor 4700 SATA storage system with Sanbolic's Melio FS software. The solution captures and stores graphics SD/HD data to help DigiNovations keep pace with growth in the company's business and consumer video production services.
The solution provided by system integrator 1 Beyond, was selected in a newly deployed SAN network to bring exciting new digital video production services to businesses, organizations, and families throughout New England.
The post production graphics department at DigiNovations is equipped to handle the demands of high definition post production editing in a shared SAN environment. The solution includes high performance NexStor 4700 FC-SATA storage systems, Sanbolic's software Melio FS SAN file system and LaScala Volume Manager, and Harmony series workstations with Redline Rendering Farm from 1 Beyond. “With nStor and Sanbolic, we achieved our goal of increasing the speed, efficiency and resiliency of DigiNovations' post-production team,” said Terry Cullen, President of 1 Beyond. ”The solution allows artists to offload the rendering process to a separate system, freeing up precious system resources on individual workstations.”

DigiNovations has experienced nearly 300% growth in project volume over the past 12 months. To meet the increased volume demand for high quality graphic production typical of a busy metropolitan studio, DigiNovations needed to update its legacy graphics workstations and direct-attached storage environment with new post production equipment and SAN technology.
Relying on the video-editing expertise of 1 Beyond, the new facility includes a SAN employing Melio FS shared file system, allowing multiple workstation users simultaneous access to video content stored on the central NexStor 4700 SATA storage.
